What is Acute Care?

Acute care: we recognize that illness can strike at any time and that you may need to see your medical provider urgently.  Although at times convenient, urgent care clinics do not provide the continuity of care with your primary care provider, who is much more aware of your pre existing medical history.  We are therefore available to help with your more pressing medical needs.  We provide treatment for conditions such as respiratory infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections, minor injuries and most new problems that may suddenly arise.  This involves any laboratory or diagnostic testing that may be required for evaluation, as well as medication management and relevant lifestyle advice.  Should evaluation reveal that you need specialist care, a timely referral can be made.
