What is Remote Patient Monitoring?

Remote patient monitoring (RPM) refers to the use of technology to collect and transmit health data from patients to healthcare providers, outside of traditional clinical settings. This enables PCPs to continuously monitor the health status of patients and make informed treatment decisions, regardless of location. RPM can include wearable devices, smartphone apps, and telemedicine technologies.

Lister is a Remote Patient Monitoring Management company serving all 50 states in the US. Lister’s goal since its inception in 2015 has been to deliver PCPs patient-centered, practice-friendly services with compassion and effectiveness and PCPs revenue growth.

Listers RPM Management Team’s goal is to improve PCPs patient outcomes, reduce hospital readmissions, and enhance the overall quality of care. It can also improve patient convenience and accessibility to healthcare services, while reducing costs associated with in-person visits. RPM is particularly useful for patients with chronic conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory issues, as it allows healthcare providers to monitor and manage their condition in real-time.

However, Lister believes effective implementation of RPM requires careful consideration of privacy and security concerns, as well as the integration of RPM into existing healthcare systems and processes. The use of RPM is rapidly growing and holds the potential to transform the delivery of healthcare services, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
